The faculty is keen to prepare students for positions of greater responsibility in their chosen field of profession and aims to inspire students to develop specialized skills. The faculty aims not just to pass on human capital but also social capital in the form of social norms and rules to participate more effectively in the formal and informal events in the society.
The Faculty of Social Sciences encourages students to combine their theoretical knowledge of the contemporary world with an understanding of the cultural and political processes to participate more effectively in the formal and informal events, which it does through the students’ Societies at the Institute.
