The KIET – College of Engineering at Pakistan Air Force – Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology held an incredible engineering event named “Student Engineering Exhibition 2017 () from 6th to 7th November 2017 at Main Campus, PAF Base Korangi Creek. A total of 18 exciting competitions were conducted in Engineering and general category, including final year project exhibition, line following robot and robo-maze solving competitions, programming, circuit tricks, avionics workshops and various other junior project competitions for budding engineers representing various schools and colleges across Pakistan. The special highlight of event was final year projects to showcase student’s ability to place them in industry.
More than 500 students from various universities and schools participated in the event. Participants from Sir Syed University, DHA Suffa, Dawood University, MAJU, and KIET participated in the senior engineering related competitions. Children from QABHS, Agha Khan School, BVS, City School, Beacon House and TCF participated in junior design competitions. A large number of students from various schools of Balochistan also participated in the event.
Chief Guest for the opening ceremony, Mr. Ali Zaidi (Official), a successful entrepreneur and Businessman, expressed his profound pleasure while viewing the Engineering projects and competitions by senior and junior students. Chief Guest for the closing ceremony was Prof. Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Choudhary, Director and Professor at Institute of Chemical & Biological Sciences H.E.J.
President KIET, AVM Tubrez Asif (R) lauded the efforts of the organizing team headed by Ms. Ariba Andaleeb Siddiqui for conducting an extremely useful and meaningful activity at the Institute.
