The 14th convocation ceremony of KIET (Karachi Institute of Economics & Technology) was held on Thursday, 16 February, 2017 at the Convention Center, PAF Museum, PAF Base Faisal, Karachi.
A total of 654 graduates were conferred degrees in the disciplines of Management Sciences, Computer Sciences and Engineering.This was the largest group of graduates ever in any convocation since inception of the Institute. Whereas, Institute’s first PhD student was also presented to Chief Guest for award of the degree.
The College of Management Sciences awarded 42 degrees in BBA, 2 in BS-AF, 169 in MBA and 3 in MS-MS degree programs. The College of Computing & Information Sciences awarded 97degrees in BSCS, 37in BS-ERP, 26 in MCS, 7 inMBA-ERP, 19in MS-CS,4 in MS-EE, 45degrees were awarded to BCA and 4 to MCA graduates. Furthermore, the College of Engineering awarded 191 degrees to the graduates of BE Electronics degree program.

In his welcome address, President of the Institute,Air Vice Marshal (R) Tubrez Asif praised the efforts of the students and faculty while emphasizing the role of education in the development of Pakistan. He thanked the Chief Guest for his gracious presence.
