KIET held its 1st International Conference on Latest Trends in Electrical & Computing Technologies” (INTELLECT 2017) from 15 to 16 November, 2017 at Main Campus, PAF Base Korangi Creek. The conference was technically co-sponsored by IEEE Karachi Section.
The aim of this conference was to bring together researchers, scientists, academicians and representatives of industry to discuss the latest directions of research in engineering technologies.
Vice chancellor NED University Dr Saroush Hashmat Lodi was the chief guest at the opening ceremony of the conference. In his address he emphasized the importance of higher education and the significance of research and development for the progress of the country.
Professor Dr. Bhawani Shankar Chowdhry, Chairman IEEE Karachi Section also addressed the audience and congratulated KIET for holding a successful research conference.
Participants form more than 20 universities all across the country participated in the conference in the two-day conference. International scholars from China, Malaysia, Denmark, Japan and national speakers from distinguished organizations were the keynote speakers of conference.
President KIET, Air Vice Marshal Tubrez Asif in his welcome address said that such con¬ferences motivate students to research and polish their skills in the domain.
Conference ended with a graceful ceremony on 16 November 2017, where Dr Muhammad Amjad Saqib, Executive Director of Akhuwat was the chief guest of the occasion. President KIET commended the efforts of Dr Sameer and his entire team for all the efforts made to make it a successful conference. He also thanked all the participants and speakers for attending the conference.
