I am privileged to have inherited the leadership of an elite educational institution at a time when its initial phase of founding and realization of operational and financial stabilities has been completed. The next phase of consolidating the gains has just begun.
PAF-Karachi Institute of Economics and Technology (PAF-KIET) is now in the league of a select few institutions in Karachi that is concerned with imparting quality instructions in various fields of higher learning. Its permanent faculty, three well-separated campuses, meaningfully equipped laboratories, spacious class rooms and libraries in an air-conditioned environment, speak well of its consistent high ratings from various inspecting bodies, including the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.
The graduates of PAF-KIET are sought by many multi-national and corporate bodies, as indeed reputed industrial units in Karachi and elsewhere. Scores of its former students are pursuing rewarding careers abroad and raising the banner of their alma mater beyond the shores of their homeland.
Pakistan Air Force and the Pakistan Educational Foundation should be justifiably proud of the results attained so far due to their collaboration. The challenge now is to fine-tune these efforts to raise the standing of PAF-KIET still higher, so that our nation can benefit from the quality of its product even more. Hopefully, the day is not far when this institute will be considered a place of first choice by aspirants of higher learning, industry and commerce alike.
